Managing Your Subscription & Billing
Category: Account & Billing
Givee offers various plans to fit your needs. If you’re on a paid plan (or free trial moving to paid), here’s how to manage your subscription and billing details 💳:
Upgrading to a Paid Plan:
If you’re on a free trial or free tier and need premium features (custom domain, more pages, analytics, etc.), you can upgrade.
Go to the Billing or Upgrade section in your account settings. This might be labeled “Upgrade Plan” or under Account -> Billing.
You’ll see plan options (e.g., Pro Plan $4/month, Team Plan, etc. possibly).
Choose the plan you want and click Upgrade.
Enter your payment information (credit/debit card). The form is securely handled (likely via Stripe, as indicated by usage of Stripe in backend).
Confirm the purchase. If on trial, it might start after trial; if immediate, it charges now and upgrades your features instantly.

Updating Payment Method:
In the Billing settings, you should see your current card on file or an option to Update Payment Method.
Click that, and enter new card details or edit existing ones.
Save changes. The new card will be charged for future invoices.
Viewing Invoices and Billing History:
There may be a section listing your past invoices. E.g., “Invoice #0001 - Apr 2025 - $4.00 - Paid” etc.
You can download invoices for your records if needed (for reimbursements or accounting).
If you just upgraded, your first invoice might appear after the charge.
Canceling Subscription:
If you need to cancel, look for a Cancel Subscription button or link (often under plan details).
Givee might ask for feedback or confirm. Confirm cancellation.
Cancellation usually means you keep your premium features until the end of the billing period, then downgrade to free (if available).
Note: if free pages are no longer offered (Givee stopped offering free earlier this year), cancelling might mean your page becomes inaccessible or limited after your paid period ends. The FAQ suggests no free pages now, so double-check what happens on cancel (likely your account goes into some inactive state or read-only until you pay again).
If you cancel during a trial, ensure you do it before trial ends if you don’t want to be charged.
Downgrading Plan:
If multiple paid tiers, you might downgrade (e.g., from Team plan to Solo plan). Use the plan selection to choose a lower one and confirm.
Features tied to higher plan will be lost after current period, so adjust your usage accordingly (e.g., if team plan allowed 5 pages and you downgrade to a plan with 1 page, you’ll need to pick which page remains active).
Renewals and Charges:
Plans are likely monthly (maybe annually if offered). Monthly auto-renews on the same date each month.
Ensure your card is valid; if a charge fails, Givee will probably email you and retry in a few days. Update your card to avoid interruption.
If you need annual billing (for a discount or company paperwork), the FAQ suggests contacting them – possibly they can arrange it.
Team Plans and Billing:
If you have a team plan (multiple users invited, etc.), typically one person (owner) is billed for all. Only the owner should manage the subscription to avoid confusion.
Agencies: The FAQ mention tailored billing for agencies – likely meaning you can have custom plans or invoicing. That would be handled by contacting Givee.
Refunds:
If you accidentally got charged or are unsatisfied, check if Givee has a refund policy. Some services prorate or refund on a case-by-case basis. There might not be an automated way in dashboard; you’d email support.
Billing Support:
For any billing issues (double charge, upgrade not applying, etc.), reach out to Givee support (they might have an email or support ticket system).
Since Givee uses Stripe, things are usually reliable, but mistakes happen – support is there for that.
Security:
Givee does not store full card details on their servers; Stripe handles it securely. So you can trust the process (and always see that lock icon in URL during payment input).
Keeping Plan Active:
As a friendly reminder, if your page is mission-critical (e.g., you use it for business), set a calendar reminder for when your subscription renews so you can ensure the card is up to date. You don’t want your link in bio to suddenly lose premium features (like custom domain dropping) because a card expired.
By knowing your way around the subscription settings, you have full control – upgrade when you need more, downgrade if necessary, and make sure the billing is smooth. Givee’s aim is to keep it simple, so you can focus on building your page, not worrying about the payments. Happy linking, with peace of mind on the billing front! 💰🎉
